A to Z Poetry – Anxious

I am feeling anxious

as I explore my words

knowing what may come

into being one word at a time

I am feeling anxious

finding my voice

amongst all the other voices

within my head

I am feeling anxious

as I discover who

I really am

on the page

I am feeling anxious

knowing I have to be me

no matter the outcome

time does not stand still

I am participating in the Blogging from A to Z challenge and NaPoWriMo

  1. Thanks for creatively goosing me into taking the A to Z blogging challenge. So glad to have you along for the ride!

I can certainly relate to the creative anxieties you express in your poem… I feel like I got thrown off course this past month and need get back on track.

So glad that the A to Z games have begun. It’s time for some play! 🙂

    • LOL! Glad I could “creatively goose” you! I have been writing all day getting as many posts and poems done as I can so that I can stay ahead of the game. Thanks for stopping by and sharing word love!

  2. I love that you’re making the challenge your own. I considered doing this with short stories and prompts for each, but I’m also working on a novel and edits for something else, I figured I might be taking on too much to try that. Well done though. I really enjoyed this poem!

    • Thanks Kristen, I love helping to inspire others and especially with poetry. That is why I created OctPoWriMo to have another poetry month in October. I just published my first book so I am between projects at the moment making this a perfect time for me to take up these challenges. In May I will begin working on my next book. Thanks for stopping by!

i know this anxiety. it is the one that is always the scariest. but being me – or being you – is in truth the best thing ever.

  4. Writing is such an eye-opening experience. We learn so much about ourselves, and it is so scary to put that person we discover out there for all to see. Anxious is a great word for it.

    • Thanks Christine, I didn’t realize how anxious I would be because I have participated before. Imagine my surprise when I was feeling such resistance to writing the first poem. Anxious did seem like the best word to describe it. Thank you for stopping by and sharing word love.
