Wild Woman Waking Interview on Tui Snider’s Offbeat & Overlooked Travel

sm-head-shot-tuiWild Woman Waking is bopping along from blogger to blogger and has landed on Tui Snider’s Offbeat & Overlooked Travel! Of course this book wouldn’t even be possible without Tui Snider, writer, photographer, and travel blogger. When I discovered her blog in December of 2011, I found her photography intriguing, her writing entertaining, and I found her to be absolutely delightful. She has even me thinking about going to Texas to see some of the quirky sites that she talks about on her blog and in her book, Unexpected Texas.

My life has been forever changed since the day that I stopped off at her blog. We became fast friends and writing buddies not long after we met and we have been encouraging and supporting each other’s writing, (and other creative endeavors) ever since. Who knew that so much could come out of an online friendship.

Last year I asked her to join me on the collaboration of this book and I was blessed that she said yes. Her photos bring life to my poems that they wouldn’t have alone.

A few of my favorites:

I went in search of her first blog post I commented on that started everything and found Vices, Surprises, and Life as Art!

This is the first blog post, New Orleans’ Cafe Du Monde: A Taste of Hickory, that made me realize that Tui’s travel blogging made me want to go where she described.

Tui has a fascination with Ghosts and Haunted Travel.

Time to grab a cup of coffee, some cookies, and head over to Tui Snider’s Offbeat & Overlooked Travel to find all the goodies she has waiting for you to discover!

Tui Snider and I combined our talents for this book, her artistic photography mixed with my poetic ramblings creates a unique journey indeed.

Description on Amazon

What part of you have you suppressed, keeping it buried so deep inside that you almost forgot what is most important to you? Almost. As you read the poetic ramblings something stirs inside, your foot starts to tap, and you can hardly sit still. Maybe you turn on some music and dance into this new feeling, moving your hips as thoughts roam your head.

From Wild Woman Waking:

“broken smiles surrounding you
listening to ghostly secrets
desires of the heart
prisoner to your life
woman wake up and dance”

You grab your notebook and pen and begin to write. You realize you can’t sit still anymore because your eyes are wide open. Wild Woman Waking will have you looking at things differently and hopefully taking action for yourself.

Wild Woman Waking: “Sleeping isn’t possible once you explore the inner and outer world of poetry; transformation happens and your eyes open wide.”

If you grew up trying to be what other’s wanted and never sure who you really were or are, now you can choose to live and embrace your inner wild woman and maybe you will be inspired to write poetry of your own! Check out Wild Woman Waking!

This is a blog hop!

From March 10th through March 22nd there will be a blogger interviewing, reviewing, and guest posting for Wild Woman Waking! Every one of these women are amazing in their own right! I can’t help but smile and feel such admiration when looking at all of their lovely faces! Check them out and spread the word of the fun happening here and there!
