Wild Woman Waking Review on Victoria Adams’ Reading Alcove

Flying through the internet, Wild Woman Waking floats down to Victoria Adams’ Reading Alcove where she and her husband have a library at home of over 2000 books so it is natural for her to want to share her love of books on her blog. She also shares her personal journey through her book, Who I am Yesterday,  (and on her blog) with her day to day life with her husband’s dementia. Definitely not an easy journey.

I met Victoria on Facebook through the Where Writers and Authors Meet group. She always had helpful things to say and offered advice whenever asked. Victoria has gone out of her way to help me more than a few times. She is one of the kindest, loving people I know that gives of herself to help others whenever she can. She has a love of poetry, which she shares some of her own on her blog such as, Reflections – The Shapes of Reality.

Victoria is an author, poet, caregiver, accountant, financial analyst, but most of all, she is a creative and loving soul.

A few of my favorites:

Her journey into writing her next book, Why Me – My Journey with Job

Remember how I said that she likes to help others? Here is Stuff about Writing – Tips and Tools category on her blog.

And a special project that I know is dear to her heart, When Poetry Makes a Difference.

Time to make a cup of herbal tea, something relaxing, as you head over to Victoria Adams’ Reading Alcove where you will find book reviews, poetry, and thoughts about life.

Description on Amazon

What part of you have you suppressed, keeping it buried so deep inside that you almost forgot what is most important to you? Almost. As you read the poetic ramblings something stirs inside, your foot starts to tap, and you can hardly sit still. Maybe you turn on some music and dance into this new feeling, moving your hips as thoughts roam your head.

From Wild Woman Waking:

“broken smiles surrounding you
listening to ghostly secrets
desires of the heart
prisoner to your life
woman wake up and dance”

You grab your notebook and pen and begin to write. You realize you can’t sit still anymore because your eyes are wide open. Wild Woman Waking will have you looking at things differently and hopefully taking action for yourself.

Wild Woman Waking: “Sleeping isn’t possible once you explore the inner and outer world of poetry; transformation happens and your eyes open wide.”

If you grew up trying to be what other’s wanted and never sure who you really were or are, now you can choose to live and embrace your inner wild woman and maybe you will be inspired to write poetry of your own! Check out Wild Woman Waking!
