Creative Play – Friday Photos

“No one ever discovered anything new by coloring inside the lines.”
― Thomas Vasquez —

When I am in the midst of writing and editing I am so focused I don’t see anything else. I can also burn out from such focus. When the inevitable happens, and I fall flat on my face from being in overdrive for far too long, I’ve discovered playing with other creative outlets help me get back on track quicker. Below are the photos/art I created on my phone this week in either Pixlr Express or in Paper Camera. How do you relax and rejuvenate so that you don’t burn out?

“Sometimes poets write what we wish we could say, and they tell us what we need to know. The poems in Wild Woman Waking lead us to a place where we can proudly refuse to be “bent and broken”; instead, they document a journey to self-acceptance, peace, and understanding – where in a community of women, we celebrate and dance as Mud Women. We become women of spirit and keepers of our own keys.” ~Beth Camp

  1. Wow! You’ve been having fun!

I’ve seen a few of these fly by on Facebook, but it’s great to see them all in one post like this.

Like you, photography relaxes me, but I rarely do much with the ones I take other than edit them a little in Instagram. You’ve made me quite curious about Pixlr and Paper Camera.

Hmm… I’m ready to put my WIP to bed for the night. Maybe I’ll check them out now! 🙂
