“Don’t give up before the miracle happens.”
― Fannie Flagg
How often do you try for so long with something and then decide that it just isn’t working and you stop doing whatever it is. Often times we are so very close to that all important breakthrough, break out, break open moment but don’t realize that if we had just stuck with it a little longer, miracles would happened. I don’t know about you, but this time I’m sticking with it.
Believe in yourself, believe in your mission, believe in what you came here to do.

Haiku poem for OctPoWriMo.
OctPoWriMo begins today and for those that don’t know what that is, it is a poetry challenge for the month of October – 31 poems in 31 days. I created OctPoWriMo in 2012 and with the assistance of Julie Jordan Scott it took off. Every year she and I, and now others, post poetry prompts every day during October to encourage poets (even those that don’t consider themselves poets) from all over the world to play with their words, to write poetry, to read poetry, and to take their poetry to a deeper level.
Reminding myself to push through
who knows where the miracles are,
what poem will be the poem of all poems.
You never know what you are capable of
you push yourself a little past
the comfort zone,
or write when you just don’t feel like it.
just maybe the resistance is there
you are about to have a major breakthrough.
That is what I am hoping for
a major breakthrough,
and the words will flow beyond imagining.

I am encouraging you to play along with us at OctPoWriMo and play with your words.
What breakthrough is waiting for you?
Dance to the music, shake things up, and let the words flow.
