I’m participating in Reverb15 and today’s prompt is sharing your selfies from this year. I actually started out, at the beginning of this year, with the intention of doing the #365FeministSelfie. It didn’t last long, I have a hard time being in photos. I don’t usually like how they turn out and I’m a bit hard on myself about the way I look. The above photo is pretty much the only one that I like, sort of. Below you can see the rest that I took and then I just couldn’t do it anymore.

  1. May I say I think it is a generational thing. I too, have a reluctance to not only post photos of myself but, I am awkward taking the photos. My 20 year daughter though has absolutely none of those challenges. Thank you for sharing.

  2. Gosh! I’m struck by how “strong” your images are! I also tried to do 365 days of feminine selfies and just couldn’t do it. I’m so much older than the women posting and I lost confidence in that context. You have something really terrific going on with the creative ways you photograph yourself.

    • Thank you so much. Not sure how old you are but I’m over 50. Maybe we should come up with a #365Over50Selfie or over 45 or over 40, whatever. I would like to try again. I know it is an important piece to accepting myself and learning to love myself.
