A is for Awakening My Voice

“A single event can awaken within us a stranger totally unknown to us. To live is to be slowly born.” ~Antoine de Saint-Exupéry

My new room.

Ups and downs
emotions in chaos
time stands still
and then speeds up

Balance is shaky
but gaining some ground
learning about me
all over again

Reading for comfort
reading for insight
darkness and light
transformation in progress

Awakening my voice.
—————-
Finding it difficult to get back into the swing of writing poetry, I just need to write through it as I often tell others. Emotions swirling as I find the ground beneath my feet and I breathe from my toes to the top of my head.

Naming My Feelings

I’m feeling a little numb.

  3. A big change in life definitely disrupts writing. I always struggle to get back in the swing of things and just making myself do it and keep going helps.

  4. Lovely start to this intense month of writing and blogging every single day! The tidiness of the photos belies the searching tone of the poem. I hope these daily writes give you a sense of direction, strength, peace and insight. Fondly, Beth

  5. Hello Dearest Morgan … I’m not really sure where or if I should link anywhere … I signed up for the A to Z event though and I receive your prompts for e-mail … so I’ll link up to you if that’s all right … hoping this will be a great month for you! Bon Chance!
