C is for Creation

“You are one thing only. You are a Divine Being. An all-powerful Creator. You are a Deity in jeans and a t-shirt, and within you dwells the infinite wisdom of the ages and the sacred creative force of All that is, will be and ever was.”
Anthon St. Maarten, Divine Living: The Essential Guide To Your True Destiny

Creations bubbling under the surface

not yet able to break free

emotions under lock and key

surely what is stopping the creative flow

ready to peel back the layers

to see what will grow

I am feeling ambivalent.

I am reading Moving On by Sarah Ban Breathnach,

and I’m working on letting go.

  1. Sometimes our possessions carry memories that are hard to let go of. Maybe the same is true of emotions, shaped by past experience. Here, I like the optimism behind the lines “ready to peel back the layers / to see what will grow.”

    • Hi Bastet, I’m enjoying reading your poetry and I love that you are getting inspiration from my posts but, they aren’t poetry prompts. Feel free to continue to use them as inspiration for your poetry but I’m just participating in the A to Z challenge myself.

      Peace and hugs to you,

  3. Hard to explain, but your poem made me feel like a pendulum swinging through emotional states, if that makes any sense! “Creations bubbling under the surface” feels hopeful and full of so many potential futures. Also, the idea of being a “Deity in a t-shirt” really resonates with me.
